Clients leave Susan’s therapy space feeling understood, respected, empowered, and hopeful. They also receive insights and tools to make changes that will bring healing and restoration to their lives. Whether you are struggling with depression, anxiety, sexual-orientation ambivalence, thoughts of suicide, relational conflicts, or a lack of vibrancy in your life, Susan can help. Susan specializes in teens, families, couples, and individuals in crisis. She supports clients to effectively manage emotional crises and enhance their anger-management skills, while walking with them through recovery from present and past hurts, disappointment, trauma, and sexual challenges.
Susan is a regular guest on Global TV, CBC-Radio, CTV, and CJOB-Radio on topics of relationships and sexuality. As part of the collaborative team in Sage Holistic and Wellness Agency, Seth (he/him/his) brings with him a wealth of knowledge and skills from the extensive work he has done with children, youth, and their families. Currently he is a Health Educator with SERC (Sexuality Education Research Centre), where his main endeavor is to promote healthy sexuality among the youth, through well researched workshops aligned with the Manitoba school curriculum and community engagement initiatives for students, teachers, and other professionals.
Seth has also formerly supervised programs such as Wahkohtowin Strengthening Families through Spence Neighbourhood Association where marginalized and racialized youth in care and their families were empowered with social, emotional and instrumental supports, including sports equipment and coaches, after-school tutorial services, books and assistive devices, and one-on-one mentorship. With great compassion and commitment, Seth has promoted the Mental wellbeing of communities through his work on the crisis lines with Klinic Community Health.
He has been on the other end of the phone-lines, supporting individuals to manage suicidal ideation, navigate systemic issues, and access formal supports through referrals and information sharing. He has facilitated and supported teams in Klinic to manage their implicit biases towards Two-Spirit, transgender, and gender diverse communities and newcomers. Seth is also a peer supporter within the Trans Health Program housed at Klinic. He does his work through a trauma-informed lens that incorporates principles in harm reduction, feminism, queer theory, anti-colonialism and anti-racism. He prioritizes respect, dignity, personal-worth and self-determination with every client who crosses his path. In his work with behaviourally challenged children and youth, he knows the question should never be “What’s wrong with this child?” The question should always be “What happened to this Child?” (Perry, B & Winfrey, O. 2021)
My name’s Vanessa Limon and I’ve been working in the mental health field for over 10 years. I’ve always had a passion for helping others which eventually lead me to working as a Professional Counsellor. I’ve worked in a variety of settings such as educational settings, group homes, independent living, disability and community support, crisis counselling and much more.
With compassion, genuine listening, and empathy I aim to help my clients get in touch with themselves, understand their needs, navigate life’s setbacks and delays and help them build the skills to confidently navigate life on their own and of course remind them that it’s okay to ask for help.
I work in a person-centred and mindfulness approach where I gently assist my clients to walk through past experiences to understand how it impacts their life today and helps them build healthy coping skills. I’m a believer the clients hold the pen and paper to their life and to remind them they have the power to create positive changes.
